Overview
Plant Director (w/m/d) role at Pall Corporation. This onsite position is located in Crailsheim, Germany. The Plant Director is responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the main functions of the Creilshain Ceramic Plant, including operations and productions, financial reports, customer agreements and HR policies to achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
* Ongoing management, setting operational goals for department managers and subordinate employees; initiating and implementing new activities and changes in the organization, verifying and introducing new procedures and systems for the operation of the enterprise and for the management level.
* Coordinate activities and supervise the performance of tasks by supervisors of individual organizational units and employees.
* Support and develop a team of management staff and directly supervised employees.
* Provide resources necessary for the efficient implementation of processes resulting from the quality management system.
* Deploy site goals and targets by aligning global targets for the team.
* Manage full plant processes, project management and project execution by working with the site team and cross-site cooperation, mainly within the EMEA region but also globally.
* Align product settings made to order or available on stock, in close cooperation with the integrated supply chain.
* Collaborate with Business Unit team for Energy +.
* Assign SMART goals to teams and align them globally across necessary departments.
Qualifications / Requirements
* University degree, preferably in Engineering; Economics or MBA is acceptable if managerial experience is demonstrated.
* At least 5 years in a managerial position in an international production company.
* Production enterprise management and project leadership experience.
* English – advanced level.
* 5+ years of working with ERP systems based on MRP.
Nice to have
* Knowledge of the global marketplace with experience ideally in filtration and separation processes or related disciplines.
* Experience developing business strategy and leading strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
* Strong KPI improvement track record: on-time delivery, lead time, cost and inventory reduction; supplier development.
* Leadership, resilience, strong communication, basic knowledge of ISO and QSR norms, experience with Lean Manufacturing.
