Compensation: €100k–€150k total compensation (experience dependent)
Overview
A PE-backed, fast-growing business is seeking a Group Financial Controller as the second hire in its Munich-based finance function. This is a high-impact role suited to someone from a Big Four, PE-backed, or high-growth environment who is comfortable building processes, owning reporting, and working closely with senior leadership.
You will work alongside one existing finance hire (starting January) and take a lead role in establishing a scalable group finance structure as the company continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead group financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, and statutory outputs.
2. Own budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and liquidity planning.
3. Strengthen and streamline financial controls, accounting policies, and internal processes.
4. Prepare management reporting for senior leadership and investors.
5. Support PE-driven value-creation initiatives and ad-hoc strategic projects.
6. Help shape and scale the finance team over time.
Candidate Profile
7. Experience in private-equity-backed companies or high-growth environments.
8. Big Four, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
9. Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience.
10. Hands-on operator who can build from scratch and manage multiple priorities.
11. Confident interacting with senior stakeholders and PE investors.
12. German and English fluency preferred.
