Our Digitalization, IT and Transformation department (VD) consists of over 100 dedicated colleagues. We come from a wide range of professional backgrounds. * develop and establish an IT security strategy for the authority and the schools,
* manage and develop the subject area and coordinate the tasks of the assigned officers
* create and update IT security concepts in compliance with the framework requirements of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
* monitor the implementation of IT security measures and carry out regular audits to ensure compliance
* represent the official information security officer, also in inter-agency committees
Your profile
Required
* University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, business informatics, IT security or a comparable field of study or
* Skills and experience equivalent to a university degree on the basis of a completed degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in the above-mentioned fields and four years of relevant professional experience in Master's-level activities or
as a civil servant
* Qualification for category 2, second entry-level post in the general services field or
* You can also apply if you are qualified for career group 2, first entry-level post in the General Services specialization and meet the other requirements for promotion to an office from grade A14 in accordance with Sectionor (6) HmbLVO-AllgD. Information for civil servants on promotion
Advantageous
* Extensive practical experience in IT security, network security and data protection, ideally in the public sector or education sector. A certification in IT security additionally underlines your professional competence
* Proven ability to develop and implement IT security strategies and policies and prepare security reports
* solid experience in conducting risk analyses and security assessments as well as training and sensitizing employees
* excellent analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with an independent and results-oriented way of working
* Team leadership experience, high level of sociability, strong communication and teamwork skills, confident manner and very good verbal communication skills in German, especially when presenting complex IT issues at management level
