The job

Your tasks
The successful candidate will perform lab and field experiments or literature research on aquatic-terrestrial-atmospheric ecosystem coupling processes in relation to plant diversity including trait and stoichiometric analyses. To meet these objectives, the successful candidate will:
1. Conduct Literature research
2. Perform lab and field work experiments, involving organization of lab and field campaigns, regular sampling
3. Acquire third-party funding
4. Publish research findings at conferences and peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as preparation of public outreach
5. Cooperate with partners of different scientific disciplines and work in a team with different expertise and background
6. Participate in teaching activities

Your profile
15. A good to very good university degree (Master, Diploma) including biology, ecology, chemistry or mathematics and completed PhD in one of these fields
16. Proficiency in programming (e.g. R)
17. English language proficiency (CEFR level C1 or higher)
18. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to cooperate closely with other researchers from different disciplines
19. Excellent team work capabilities in a multidisciplinary, international team
20. Experience in publishing and presenting research findings in peer-reviewed journals and at scientific conferences
21. The following experiences are beneficial but not mandatory:
22. Experience with flow cytometric data and stoichiometric chemical data as well as the Central European flora
23. Some knowledge of German is helpful for navigating life in Germany but not required for the job
