This is what you can do As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Digital Thread Manager drives the digital transformation of Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and In-Service Operations by implementing and managing the Digital Thread at Deutsche Aircraft. This role ensures seamless integration of product data across the entire lifecycle, enabling a holistic product view and supporting the creation of digital twin Strategy and Implementation: Define and execute strategies for establishing and scaling the Digital Thread to support digital transformation. Data Integration and Management: Ensure product data from design, manufacturing, and in-service phases is consistently connected and accessible as a trusted source of truth. Process optimization: Leverage integrated data to optimize business processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaboration and Communication: Foster cross-functional collaboration, influence stakeholders, and lead teams in adopting digital solutions and smart manufacturing practices and business solutions. You’ll bring this with you Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. Several years of experience in digital transformation, product lifecycle management (PLM), or manufacturing engineering. Understanding of product lifecycle processes (design, manufacturing, in-service). Knowledge in Model Based Definition (MBD). Proven track record in implementing data integration, digital thread, or digital twin initiatives. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in aerospace/manufacturing. Familiarity with PLM systems, CAD/CAM/CAE/CAQ tools, and ERP/MES integration. Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional adoption. Fluency in English and German.
