About the role:
This position is part of the MarTech team, focusing on web analytics, tracking architecture, and data quality across multiple digital storefronts and brands. The role is central to ensuring reliable first-party data collection and maintaining a future-proof tracking setup. It involves both strategic ownership and hands-on technical implementation in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Take strategic ownership of a future-oriented tracking setup with a strong focus on first-party data
* Maintain, develop, and continuously improve the existing tracking infrastructure
* Develop custom JavaScript tracking scripts for consistent data collection across systems
* Implement and optimize tracking configurations within Google Marketing Platform in collaboration with performance marketing teams
* Solve tracking challenges across a heterogeneous tech stack (React frontend with Spryker, legacy PHP systems, and Webflow prototypes)
* Drive A/B testing initiatives in close cooperation with UX and development teams to improve conversion and revenue
* Collaborate closely with marketing, UX, and technical teams, acting as a bridge between business and technology
Requirements:
* Degree or vocational training in a technical or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics, Digital Analytics)
* Several years of experience in web analytics, tracking, or tag management
* Strong expertise in Google Tag Manager, Google Marketing Platform, and Floodlight
* Advanced JavaScript skills for implementing custom tracking solutions
* Strong analytical mindset with high standards for data quality
* Strategic thinking with a focus on scalable, future-proof first-party data solutions
* Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
* Fluent German and English
