WHO MAY APPLY:

Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany

and

EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany.


Hauptaufgaben

Serves as Supply Technician involved in maintaining automated accountable records for two organizations; the US Army Garrison Ansbach for the Installation Management Command Europe (IMCOM-Europe) and the Logistics Readiness Center Ansbach, a supporting organization of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade for Army Sustainment Command. Manages large quantity of accountable non-standard LIN, commercial type property utilizing the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) and determines authorization for and quantities by reviews and updates to the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Common Table of Allowances (CTA) for the unit, organization, or section. Responsible for the processing of equipment requests for acquisition or replacement of equipment, local purchase actions, and local contracting actions within GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System). Individual must be flexible as a Supply Technician, capable of understanding or being cross-trained in multiple aspects of Logistics, to include receipt and distribution of issues, turn-ins and receipts of unserviceable and serviceable property operations of the Property Warehouse section to ensure accuracy of information for records and database of accountable transactions. The incumbent works under general supervision of the Accountable Property Officer (APO) with moderate authority of the APO in assigned areas. Performs assigned duties within the framework of a variety of regulations, generally using his/her own judgment. Supervisor is available for advice and assistance, especially in complex cases. Work is evaluated in terms of judgment and initiative applied and for adequacy of support.

Performs other Duties as assigned.

C1-2005-05:

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.

Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.

E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.

Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.

• Office automation skills required.
• GCSS-A skills desired
• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator license.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency Level B2 and German Language Proficiency A2 required.

Beschäftigungsbedingungen

This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs /week).

• Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
