Tasks
Role Overview
As a platform-leaning MLOps team lead, you will make our TypeScript/Python data & model pipelines boringly reliable - and to set the technical bar for AI engineers to drive development forward. You’ll own orchestration, data quality, observability, CI/CD, and secure operations in the cloud. You won’t spend your days training models, but you’ll lead discussions, define the standards that make models reliable, fast, and measurable in production.
Level: Senior (5+ Years experience)
Stack: Python, TypeScript, GCP
**What You’ll Do**
* Stabilize pipelines end-to-end: design for idempotency, backfills, SLAs/SLOs
* Own orchestration: Airflow/Cloud Composer or Workflows; schedule, retry, and lineage for ETL/ELT and model steps
* Lead AI engineering standards: define evaluation harnesses, prevent leakage/train-serve skew, monitor data/feature drift, and run canary/shadow releases; maintain integration in Enzo systems, enforce data quality & contracts
* Secure & cost-aware: least-privilege IAM, Secret Manager/KMS, VPC/SVPC, retention/DLP; track and optimize spend
* Ship with confidence: CI/CD for services, pipelines, and DB migrations (Cloud Build/GitHub Actions); promote dev→staging→prod
* Create golden paths: templates, docs, and tooling that make doing the right thing the easiest thing
* Coach & collaborate: review designs/PRs, mentor AI engineers, and drive a learning culture
Requirements
You cover the following requirements
* Advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related engineering field, with a track record of professional excellence
* Deep expertise in SQL and Python, coupled with proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
* Demonstrated strong experience in time series prediction, with a comprehensive understanding of various methodologies and their practical applications
* Familiarity with TypeScript is advantageous, enhancing the integration of AI solutions within broader technology stacks
* Exceptional command of the English language, with exemplary communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
