Research Associate in Immune Tolerance
Our research team at the University Hospital of Münster is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our collaborative and dynamic environment.
Project Overview
* Reversing immune tolerance using a trained immunity approach
As part of a multidisciplinary project, we investigate the mechanisms of the reversal of immune tolerance with the ultimate goal to improve patient treatment.
Responsibilities
1. Design and conduct experiments utilizing state-of-the-art approaches such as:
2. In vitro and ex vivo cell culture, working with different types of primary and stable cells, and maybe creating knockout or knock in CRISPR/cas9
3. Basic and multiomics data analysis,
4. Flow cytometric analysis of immune cell populations
5. Immunohistological staining and imaging
6. Biochemical assays for cytokines and other inflammatory mediators
7. Protein analysis
Closely collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate findings into a comprehensive model of atherosclerosis pathophysiology.
Requirements
1. MSc or comparable degree in biological/medical sciences
2. Strong background in immunology/molecular biology
3. Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
4. Flow cytometry-based phenotyping and sorting
5. Immunofluorescence microscopy and histopathological evaluation
6. Statistical programming languages like R or Python
Good communication skills in English; proficiency in German desirable but not required.
