Nordseecluster Project Hamburg Office (incl. travel to supplier locations as needed) 01/09/2025 – 31/12/2028 Job Description:Reviewing and assessing quality documentation from the supply chainEnsuring the Employer’s requirements are implemented by the contractorPlanning, coordination, and execution of Quality Control (QC) activitiesLiase with the different contractorsManaging of Quality InspectorsOversee and manage the quality of work delivered by the supply chain under package contractsLeads the day-to-day QC activitiesEvaluation of reports, inspection results and findingsCapture all work progress, inspections, and non-conformities (NC) in RWEs Quality inspection appLogging and resolution of open pointsInitiation and management NC reports and corrective and preventive actionsMaintenance of an auditable trail of quality activities and associated recordsRecommendations where appropriate of the resolution of an NC with a concession and management of acceptance/rejectionSupporting in finding solutions for quality issuesSupporting in any claims processCollate the as-built, installation and supporting Quality records necessary for Commercial OperationsEscalates issue to the Quality ManagerProvide weekly reportsOther QA/QC activities or related task as directed
Requirements:
Degree qualified Engineer or time served apprentice in a Mechanical/ Energy Engineering/ with a Fabrication background.Experience in Wind Turbine manufacture, assembly and installationISO 9001-2015 Lead Auditors CourseRequired HSE trainings: GWO Working at Heights, Fire Awareness, First Aid Comprehensive understanding of offshore Wind Turbine fabricators and their manufacturing supply chain, with marketplace intelligence on performance. Experience leading/coordinating inspectors and their daily tasksUnderstanding of manufacturing processes for WTGs, including blades and sub-componentsAble to demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements and risks and the associated standards for WTGsExperienced in dealing with contractors/sub-contractors and supply chain monitoring for compliance.Fluent written & verbal English.Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and implementation of tailored Quality Surveillance Programs.
