Do you have experience in Automation systems or Maritime sales and want to work across the European market?
I am currently representing a well-established engineering company operating within Maritime Automation and Transport Technology, with a history dating back nearly 100 years. They design, develop, and deliver propulsion and automation systems from concept through to commissioning and aftersales.
They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to support their growth across Europe, helping them expand their market share and strengthen their position within their niche sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and attending industry events such as trade shows and conferences. You will also gain hands-on exposure to their products through training, including opportunities to visit ships and work alongside engineering teams.
The successful candidate will have strong sales experience, ideally within Maritime or Automation sectors, and will be confident developing new business across international markets.
You will be joining a growing SME with a strong reputation in their field, offering autonomy, international exposure, and the chance to play a key role in company growth.
The Role:
1. European Business Development across Maritime/Automation markets
2. Generating leads and converting them into long-term customers
3. Building and maintaining strong client relationships
4. Attending conferences, trade shows, and industry events
5. Working closely with technical teams to understand product offerings
The Candidate:
6. Experience in B2B Sales / Business Development (Senior level preferred)
7. Knowledge of Maritime industry or Automation systems
8. Fluent in English (German desirable)
9. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
10. Based in or commutable to Northern Germany
