1. Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.
2. Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.
3. Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.
4. Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.
5. Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
6. Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
7. Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
8. Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
9. High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
10. Shall have Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
11. FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 required.
12. Must possess (FAA) A&P certificate, with at least Two (2) years' aviation maintenance experience, and Two years on the assigned MDS UH60, CH47, AH64.
13. All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
14. If no A&P certificate, must possess or being willing to obtain an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3, and Must have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two (2) years minimum on the assigned Mission Design Series UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 (MDS).
15. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, (NACI T1) Public Trust. US Citizenship is required to obtain the required NACI Clearance. (Interim NACI approval required for deployment).
16. Valid US Passport Required for travel to Germany.
Germany Specific:
17. TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.
Travel: As required in support of task order.
Knowledge & Skills
18. Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
19. Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work task.
20. Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
21. Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
22. Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
23. Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
24. Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
25. Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
