Data Protection Compliance Specialist
Main objective:
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding compliance with data protection laws and industrial best practices.
* Coordinate project tasks, provide compliance support, and interact with local supervisory authorities when necessary.
Main responsibilities:
* Manage client accounts for matters related to personal data protection.
* Implement and apply data protection governance frameworks, supporting clients from various sectors in complying with the law.
* Advise and problem-solve with clients on applying best practices to complex processing activities within an evolving regulatory landscape.
* Identify best practices relative to client needs and adapt solutions based on the scale or sensitivity of processing activities undertaken.
* Effectively address client requests, including data breaches, data protection impact assessments, and data subject rights.
* Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends in Luxembourg and neighboring jurisdictions, managing the GDPR regulatory watch service.
* Collaborate with information security professionals to provide holistic solutions to client needs.
* Leverage technology to enhance client deliverables in an effective and efficient manner.
* Coach and review junior colleagues' output in the privacy compliance realm.
Main requirements:
* Masters degree in Law.
* 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in Luxembourg.
* Fluent English and French, with any additional languages considered an asset.
* Practical knowledge of data protection compliance in one or multiple sectors.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Good organizational skills and a positive attitude.
