* Central interface between assigned CDMOs and BioNTech to ensure smooth operations and supply, as well as effective communication and collaboration.
* Leading interdisciplinary teams, including SMEs from AS&T, QC, MS&T, Procurement, CMC, Supply Chain, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and other areas to effectively manage the performance of the assigned CDMOs,
incl. KPI target setting and review and implementation of CAPAs
* Leading contract negotiations and serving as the first escalation point for challenges within the external production network
* Execution, management and/or support of projects at CDMOs, such as continuous improvement initiatives or technology transfers.
* Supporting the supply strategy process, especially for BioNTech's protein pipeline and mRNA pipeline. Knowledge in the manufacturing of proteins and mRNA is preferred.
* Responsible for the strategic account development of CDMOs within BioNTech's external production network, incl. setting resource plans and budgets.
Requirements:
* Completed degree in a relevant field, preferably in supply chain management, international business management, engineering or life sciences.
* 5 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally focusing on external supply -/CDMO -/supplier relationship management.
* Strong leadership qualities, project management skills, stakeholder management and the ability to effectively lead interdisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills and track-record in contract negotiations.
* Good combination of strategic and operational skills; ability to make flexible but thourgh decisions in a highly dynamic environment.
* Profound knowledge of relevant EMA, FDA and other regulatory standards as well es Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Business-fluent English. German is a plus
