Customs Coordinator (f/m/d)
To support our Customs team we are searching for a Customs Coordinator (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich or Leipzig office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Monitor incoming shipments
2. Maintain contact with freight forwarders and courier service providers
3. Handle import processes in compliance with foreign trade law and preferential law
4. Prepare of customs clearance instructions
5. Review, preparation, and audit-compliant archiving of documents
6. Reconciliation of incoming supplier invoices after verification of customs clearance
7. Preparation of post-clearance assessment and refund applications with the responsible customs authorities
8. Clarification of inquiries regarding customs clearance issues or delays with suppliers and service providers
9. Tariff classification of our goods
10. Data maintenance in the ERP system and internal data capture systems
WHO YOU ARE
11. Completed training, e.g. as a foreign trade clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or a comparable qualification
12. Initial solid experience in the customs field, preferably supported by further training
13. Ideally good knowledge of import and preferential law
14. Fluent German, both written and spoken; English is an advantage
15. Sound knowledge of MS Office
16. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage
17. Conscientious handling of customer data, a high sense of responsibility, and reliability
