As a Principal Scientist, you will play a key role in driving innovative translational strategies across the entire clinical development pipeline, with the ultimate goal of being first4patients. In this strategic position, you will support the clinical drug research and development process by strategic planning and execution of data generation, all aspects of data analytics and by developing and implementing translational strategies with a specific focus on biomarkers in human patient populations. Tasks & responsibilities In your new role you will ensure timely delivery of state-of-the-art scientific concepts, data measurements and analyses for decision making throughout clinical drug development and registration including all necessary processes and documentation. Moreover, you will act as representative in trial and project teams and regulatory meetings. You will lead clinical development trials and project overarching topics in Experimental Medicine and will represent the respective area of responsibility in internal and external initiatives/working groups. Furthermore, you will implement collaborations and strategic partnerships with external bodies as well as organize and manage projects with external organizations like CROs, ARO. The continuously development and refinement of further functional processes and infrastructure will also be part of your tasks. Requirements PhD or MD with longstanding experience within the pharmaceutical industry, CROs, regulatory authorities, or academic institutions Several years of experience in the area of neurology / psychiatry / mental health with strong scientific knowledge of the pathophysiology, experience in the development and implementation of biomarker concepts in clinical trials, research projects and drug development programs in the area of neurodegeneration and psychiatry Broad experience in tools and methods including technology oversight and competitive landscape relevant for business needs Experience with working in a matrix organization and managing a matrix team Broad knowledge in the area of expertise as well as broad knowledge of the drug development process required Strong teamwork and good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally (e.g., CROs, experts, management), also in global and remote context Ability to develop and deliver training related to Experimental Medicine topics required as well as ability to lead and facilitate meetings Fluent in English Ready to contact us?
