Our client is a highly successful global software company which is strongly positioned for exciting growth. As part of its next phase of development, we are recruiting a Head of Group Reporting to ensure complete and accurate Financial Reporting for the company's global operations.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across the Group, leading the consolidation of results, driving compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards, and acting as the subject matter expert for complex accounting matters. Reporting to the CFO, the role works closely with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and regional finance teams to strengthen governance and support strategic decision-making.
Group Reporting:
* Support the production of key statutory / legal accounting reports, such as the Annual Report and Accounts, to ensure the organisation receives a clean audit report.
* Ensure the balances reported in the financial statements are complete and accurate.
* Assist external and internal auditors with financial accounting related reviews and implement recommendations for procedural changes.
* Make recommendations on how the organisation should adopt best practice in financial reporting.
* Production of a statutory based set of management accounts, including balance sheet, on a monthly basis.
* Planning the production of the monthly management reports.
* Manage the fixed assets register.
Technical Accounting:
* Prepare financial records for significant revenue-related transactions.
* Work with marketing, sales and operations departments to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
* Assess the impact of new accounting developments and IFRS changes and help implement them across the company. Provide consultation on relevant German GAAP issues and how they impact the company.
* Custodian of the revenue recognition framework.
* Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures.
* Review and analyse contracts and other financial agreements.
Team Leadership:
* Build, motivate and lead a high-performing team.

* Collaborate with all Functions and Finance teams across the business to support global consistent Group reporting processes.
* Collaborate with Sales, Services and the Deal Desk team to ensure consistent, accurate and complete revenue recognition.
* Work closely with the team to complete reconciliation and processing activities.
* Oversee all Finance month-end close processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior Finance Leadership roles, ideally in the SaaS/Software sector.
* Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise.
* Demonstrated ability to perform transform processes end-to-end.
