Intern within Aerodynamics Data Modelling (d/f/m)
You are a full time student (d/f/m), looking for an internship and would like to apply and expand Design of Experiments skills and support creation of surrogate aerodynamics models in our team? As an intern (d/f/m) you support the Aerodynamics team in the exploration of Design of Experiments (DoE) methods for setting up surrogate 3D pressure aerodynamic data models.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Creation of POD (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) models based on available aerodynamic data.
* Test and implement adaptive sampling techniques to optimize and simplify the model.
* Carry out trades between model effort and accuracy.
* Post processing and comparison of the results against available reference data (numerical aerodynamic data (CFD) and models).
* Creation and documentation of new best practices.
* Both qualitative and quantitative analysis and interpretation of the results will be required. This will allow you to develop and expand your aerodynamic knowledge, while working in a dynamic and transnational environment.
Desired skills and qualifications
* Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) within Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or similar field of study.
* A basic understanding of Aerodynamics.
* Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Python programming skills.
* Knowledge in surrogate modelling would be a plus.
* English: fluent.
* Basics in German are a plus.
