Position Summary The Medical Advisor will plan and lead pre/launch activities in the therapeutic field of metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD/MASH). The Medical Advisor is the medical specialist within their field and an expert in the medical affairs landscape within their territory. An understanding of the healthcare system within your country/region and a good understanding of diagnostic pathways for patients in this field is important, as well as gathering relevant insights. This is a highly valuable member of the medical team who represents externally by engaging in scientific discussions with targeted thought leaders, clinical trial investigators, and other healthcare professionals. Key responsib ilities Demonstrate support for clinical trials and engage with external experts on the generation of scientific data Collaborate with clinical organizations to enhance patient enrolment in company sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate trial sites and interacting with investigators in ongoing trials Deeply understand the fatty liver therapeutic area (MASLD/MASH), key stakeholders, and healthcare landscape ( i.e. reimbursement/access, diagnostic, testing) in your territory Help execute country medical plans locally by providing medical expertise in MASLD/MASH and engaging with the medical community in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and support development of summaries of key data, presentations or symposi ums Identify, develop and maintain relationships with leading influential experts, key thought leaders (TLs ) and health care professionals (HCPs) in fields of medicine or research relevant to the MASLD/MASH Build peer to peer relationships with TLs and HCPs Identify and engage key TLs, HCPs, and investigators in proactive scientific exchange on disease landscape and reactive exchange on mode-of-action and clinical data Represent the company at selected scientific congresses and professional society meeting s Collaborate with other internal team members (i.e., commercial, payer/access (HTA), regulatory, clinical development) to share regional insights/learnings and contribute to respective strategies Serve as a key member of the medical strategy team to share regional actionable insights/learnings and develop the medical strategy Respond to external inquiries and deliver appropriate clinical and scientific information Develop and deliver scientific trainings Gather careful information from TLs/HCPs and report back to help develop clinical, as well as commercial strategy Operate in a highly ethical manner and comply with all laws, regulations and policies Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP’s, guidance are issued Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirement s R e quirements 7-10 years of e xperience as Medical Advisor ; MSL or related field in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry Life Science Master’s (MSc), Diploma or Doctorate degree Hepatology / Gastroenterology and/or Fatty Liver experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of the local regulatory, health technology assessment and disease management for NAFLD/NASH strongly preferred Ability to function well, both independently and within a team setting, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
