Job Description
Join us in developing and strengthening an entire department and transforming cybersecurity capabilities on a global scale. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing and maintaining METRO AG’s IT and Network infrastructure with a focus on security.
Your tasks
* Plan, architect, formulate designs and continually enhance Network & Edge security technologies (e.g., micro‑segmentation, zero‑trust, access, security mechanisms, third‑party access, SLA, backup, monitoring, etc.).
* Offer tools and technology to facilitate the effective operation of the Network Edge security framework, such as SD‑WAN, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, IDS/IPS, etc.
* Design and implement system hardening to minimize security risks and vulnerabilities.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy to ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches.
* Develop, maintain, and update Firewall Management Process and Policies.
* Oversee intrusion detection and prevention systems to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive backup/redundant plan for different data storages and systems.
Qualifications
* Educational background: Degree related to information security, cybersecurity, or relevant field.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in firewall management processes and policies, information security and cybersecurity.
* Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of technical information security measures including Application Security, Cloud Security, and Security Automation.
* Regulatory compliance: Experience aligning technical measures with regulatory requirements, especially GDPR.
* Collaboration skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
* Innovative mindset: Proven ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in information security and cybersecurity.
