Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems. Exide´s technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization.
For our Battery Energy Storage Systems business ( BESS ), which is providing Commercial & Industrial and large storage systems, we are looking for a Business Development Manager BESS DACH.
For BESS, we specialize in solutions that serve a multitude of applications in utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. Our solutions are utilized for electric vehicle charging and renewable energy integration, both on- and off-grid, among others.
About the job:
The role is based in Büdingen.
Regular travelling to our R&D center in the Netherlands and to customers is required.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
* Search for new business and develop the business in line with the agreed strategy.
* Accountable for sale, sales revenue, gross margin, debt and contact for the customer base in the defined area.Work to achieve and exceed the revenue budgets for the defined area.
* Develop and maintain effective working relations with all customers and agreed Key Accounts in the defined area to ensure specification of our products.
* Grow the existing business and look for new business development opportunities. Provide estimates of potential pipeline, new and prospect accounts. Have clear strategy and development plan for each.
* Maintain regular contact and regular visits to all agreed key account to ensure the company is providing high standards of service.
* Work cross functionally with all resources to resolve specific customer performance issues within the time requirements of the agreed key accounts, to be an effective Crisis Manager.
* Work within Exide’s Contract Review Process.
* Work with Marketing to develop industry/customer specific marketing programs to grow the business at the agreed key accounts. Monitor and track where appropriate market trends.
What we ask for:
* Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or in another relevant field
* Previous Experience: Minimum 10 years in a similar function in the sales management
* Experience in developing customer relationships and in negotiating
* Knowledge and understanding how to grow the key account business
* Proven ability to ‘sell up'. Knowledge of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Market
* Knowledge & understanding of all products and applications
* Self starter and ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to create and write informative reports on customer visits
* Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Advanced English and German skills (written and spoken)
