Job Description Santen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Germany. The role is field-based with a combination of home office work, covering regions around Leipzig, Dresden, and Berlin. What You Will Do As a Medical Science Liaison, you will support key medical affairs activities, working closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal colleagues from Sales & Marketing, Clinical Development, and other Medical Affairs functions. Responsibilities include: Maximize physician awareness of Santen by providing medical expertise and collecting scientific feedback from customers. Attend local, national, and international congresses to engage with opinion leaders, observe podium presentations, and stay updated on scientific and therapeutic advances. Present data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals, including physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, and pharmacists, during hospital meetings and internal conventions. Assist in developing scientific educational materials and participate in customer training and internal education programs. Support local R&D or Medical Affairs studies as needed. Follow GDP guidelines. Qualifications What you will bring: A university degree in Life Sciences (MD, pharmacist, biologist). Proficiency in German (very good) and English (fluent), both written and spoken. At least 3 years of experience as an MSL. Ability to learn and effectively communicate clinical, scientific, and medical information. Strong presentation, communication, and teaching skills, along with business acumen. Capability to respond to medical inquiries with accurate and current information. Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships in an international environment. Open, supportive, team-oriented attitude with influence skills. Ability to work independently, creatively, and innovatively. Willingness to travel up to 80%.
