To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Coordinator for IMPRS-PHDS (m/f/d) in full-time or part-time to start as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to two years, with the intention of offering permanent employment thereafter. Your main task will be to coordinate the activities and processes of the IMPRS-PHDS program. This includes, in particular: - Coordination of the Research School and the IMPRS Office - Organization of the IMPRS curriculum, including planning and organizing workshops, courses, and advanced training activities - Application management - Advising and supporting IMPRS-PHDS doctoral students - Coordinating cooperation and networking with IMPRS-PHDS's national and international partners - Alumni administration - Creation and analysis of evaluations - Scientific reporting What you should bring: - Successfully completed university degree, preferably in a field related to the social sciences or humanities; a doctorate is desirable. - Excellent communication skills and intercultural competence - Experience in science management, ideally in the field of graduate education - An interest in doctoral-level education in demography and related fields - A committed and independent working style, ability to work in a team, organizational skills, and a high level of motivation - Excellent written and spoken English language skills - Proficiency in German is desirable What we offer: - A responsible, exciting and varied role in an interdisciplinary and international working environment. - A salary up to pay grade 14 of the TVD (Federal Government), ranging from 67,553 - 77,699 gross, depending on your qualifications and professional experience. - Support for balancing work and family life is provided through flexible working hours, the option to work remotely and access to childcare. - We support your personal development with a wide range of training opportunities, comprehensive health benefits, and a company pension plan (VBL). - You will be based in the Hanseatic city of Rostock, directly on the Warnow River, with easy access to public transport.
