Sales Director Public Sector - Germany

Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a software sales professional to ultimately build and manage a team of highly professional Account Executives and Business Developement Managers whilst partnering closely with the Inside Sales Partner Sales and PreSales Organization to drive SUSE sales and support in Public Sector in Germany .

You and your team are responsible for selling the complete SUSE product suite and services in market leveraging all go to market routes available locally and across the region. You will be responsible for managing and developing the team and their performance as well as for developing an approach for Public Sector (Public Administration and Defense) for ongoing profitable and sustainable growth of SUSE in your area of responsibility.

This position will report to the General Manager DACH

Focus Areas

* Responsible and accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth and achieving and overachieving sales targets across all routes to market within Germany across the entire product and services portfolio.
* Leading a cross-functional sales team both direct and dotted line.
* Expanding customer base while nurturing executive relationships with existing (renew cross sell upsell) and potential clients.
* Lead your team to build and closely collaborate with the partner Ecosystem in the assigned country / region.

Preferred Experience & Skills

1. Deep knowledge and understanding of requirements Public Sector Germany.
2. Fluency in English / German.
3. Extensive understanding of German public tender processes.
4. Extensive similar Management role.
5. Experience in people management and developing high performing teams as well as individual performance management.
6. Proven track record in meeting and exceeding goals and sales targets.
7. Experienced in managing complex sales processes in a structured manner
8. Experience in seeking and developing relationships with Public Sector Decession makers.
9. Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across all areas of the business.
10. Experience with Linux Containers Open source and related strategies preferred.
11. Eager to work as an active member of the management team taking responsibility and ownership in the day-to-day execution within a fast-growing organisation.
12. A leverage-able network of accounts preferably in the high end of the target market.
