Summary About the position: This position is located at the 86 FSS NAF Resource Management offices, Ramstein AB, Germany. Under the supervision of a manager, provides property, asset, and supply management to include control, accountability, and tracking systems of equipment, vehicles, and supplies required to support the mission of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) non-appropriated and appropriated fund (NAF and APF) instrumentalities. This position may offer logistical support. Responsibilities Under the supervision of a manager, provides property, asset, and supply management to include control, accountability, and tracking systems of equipment, vehicles, and supplies required to support the mission of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) non-appropriated and appropriated fund (NAF and APF) instrumentalities. Tracks processes for receiving check-in, movement, storage, inventory, and issues of all categories related to logistics equipment, assets, and funds. May be a facility manager and assures safety and housekeeping practices are observed, maintains work reports and records, and keeps positive accountability for and control of all keys and Warehouse. Assist with logistical support of special base wide events, stage and bleacher movement, and Logistics Warehouse operations. Assist with inspections and evaluations of activities, including compliance to Air Force Instructions (AFI's) concerning property, inventory levels, and storage facilities to ensure proper controls are in place to adequately safeguard assets (e.g., receipt and disposal of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), transfers between activities and other bases, resolution of property account inventory discrepancies, expendable supply item issues, and other Logistics account matters). Assists with NAF property to include reviewing independent property inventories, turning in, adding, or transferring to the property list in accordance with guidance and processes. Assists and coordinates sealed bid auctions, open auctions, and sale of NAF property, asset disposals for all FSS activities. Research minor equipment acquisition/management problems surfaced by customers and resolves issues with FSS activity managers; elevates major problems to Logistic Manager. May assist with NAF inquiries and investigations. May consolidate logistics requirements from various databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of purchases and issue resolutions. May obtain NAF and APF purchase cards (P-Card/GPC). Creates purchase requests and receiving reports. Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) point of contact, requests Transportation Control Numbers (TCN) for deliveries as required, coordinates customs requirements for commercial shipments, and resolves issues in regard to Transportation Account Codes and Department of Defense Activity Account Codes (DoDAAC). Required to operate or manage heavy equipment, forklift, and commercial vehicles for short periods of time for event set up. Performs other duties as assigned. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
