Global Data Steward plays a pivotal role in defining and managing data policies, data governance frameworks, and data object definitions for Master Data within a globally acting Pharmaceutical and MedTech company. This position focuses on the Invoice‑to‑Cash (I2C) domain, partnering closely with regions and market units worldwide. The role drives initiatives to ensure high‑quality, consistent master data, supports data cleansing activities, and leads data migrations as part of a broader business transformation program
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Governance & Policy Development:
Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive data policies and governance frameworks.
Develop clear data object definitions tailored to Master Data requirements.
Ensure all data governance initiatives adhere to industry regulations and quality standards.
2. Global Collaboration & Implementation:
Partner with regions and market units worldwide to standardize and implement master data practices in the Invoice-to-Cash domain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies.
Facilitate communication and training sessions to promote data literacy and governance best practices across the organization.
3. Operational Data Management:
Oversee and manage data cleansing activities to maintain data integrity and accuracy (incl. customer master data, credit master data, collection master data, dispute master data and FI transactional data).
Lead data migration efforts during business transformation projects, ensuring smooth and error-free transitions in I2C relevant data objects.
Monitor data quality metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
4. Issue Resolution & Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for master data-related issues.
Provide guidance and support to data experts across various sites.
Address and resolve discrepancies in customer master data, billing setup, credit master data, bank details, dispute codes, and other I2C‑related objects promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
5. Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
6. Professional Experience:
Proven experience in data management, data governance, or a similar role within the Pharmaceutical, MedTech, or a similarly regulated industry.
Demonstrated expertise in master data management, including data cleansing and data migration processes, ideally with exposure to Invoice-to-Cash domain
Experience collaborating with global, multi-site organizations
7. Technical Proficiency:
Strong familiarity with data management tools and SAP platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, S/4HANA), specifically within the I2C process landscape.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the pharmaceutical and medtech industries
