Your future in detail The Research Unit 5762, coordinated by Prof. David Vilchez and Prof. Thorsten Hoppe, is dedicated to investigating the "Cell Non-Autonomous Regulation of Organismal Proteostasis." In collaboration with the University Hospital and University of Cologne, the University of Konstanz, and the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research, scientists from these institutions are exploring the mechanisms underlying proteostasis regulation across different tissues, both in healthy and diseased states. The postdoctoral researcher will join Central Project Z1, “Platform for Quantitative Proteomics and Data Integration,” led by Prof. David Vilchez and Prof. Marcus Krüger. This project represents a core component of the Research Unit. We are seeking a motivated candidate with a strong background in proteomics, acquired through a PhD or an equivalent degree. The role involves close collaboration with the CECAD Proteomics Facility, making strong teamwork and communication skills essential. The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for: 1) Planning and designing quantitative proteomics experiments in close collaboration with the Project Leaders of the Research Unit, 2) Integrating data within and across projects to ensure efficient resource use and reproducibility of experiments, 3) Leading an independent project focused on data integration to identify converging cell non-autonomous regulatory mechanisms, and 4) Organizing proteomics training programs for members of the Research Unit.
