The Senior Technical Artist works with the Lead Technical Artist, Art Director and Programmers to define and create the pipelines and tools needed to support the art production. They are champions of budgets and technical constraints with which they are expected to inform and guide the team. A key aspect of this role is to identify areas of the current workflows that can be optimized through tools, technology or procedural concepts and implement smart and efficient technical solutions.What you’ll be doingEstablish quick, efficient and clear pipelines in collaboration with team leads, accounting for the artist’s needs as well as technical requirements or other limitationsChampion of Tech Art constraints, pushing for top visual quality and performanceWork with Art Leads, Technical Directors and QA to ensure that all art content conforms to technical requirementsProfiling and optimizationProduce and maintain documentation on tools, methods, processes, and engine limits for consultation and future referenceDevelop and deliver training programs for artists on new tools and workflows as requiredParticipate in the development of technology roadmaps for the specific needs of the projectCollaborate with all production teams to answer questions and solve complex technical and art-related challenges, identify and communicate risks, share feedback and best practices while maintaining a balance between creative vision and technical constraintsQualificationsWhat you’ll bringExtensive experience and knowledge of:Scripting languages and programming conceptsIndustry standard DCC tools and workflows, both for 3D and 2D contentGame editors and enginesKnowledge and understanding of rendering pipelinesAbility to profile, identify and address art production bottlenecksStrong organizational skillsAbility to write clear and concise technical documentation for technical and non-technical audienceBeing creative (original and resourceful in finding solutions)Great communication skills, and a proactive and solution-oriented attitudeAbility to communicate constructively with positivity and respect for othersAbility to give and receive feedback and drive the iterative processGood English verbal skills, both orally and in writing5+ years as a Technical Artist or relevant experience with significant involvement with at least 1 published title and exposure to a full project life cycle #J-18808-Ljbffr
