Your responsibilities
As an Accountant you will report to our Finance & Operations Lead.
We are looking for someone to:
* Process and track all payments
* Own payroll processing
* Conduct month-end closing procedures
* Account assignment and posting of current business transactions (AP, AR, Bank)
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports (UStVA)
* Prepare and post additional journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications)
* Monthly account reconciliation (Bank, Payhawk, pRAP, OPOS)
* Support financial forecasting and projections
* Prepare monthly financial reporting
Requirements
* Work experience in accounting for 3-5 years, including first experience in processing payroll
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and tax regulations
* Fluency in English and intermediate level in German
* Handling of tax and VAT requirements reliably and independently
* Experience in bookkeeping programs, preferably DATEV (Rechnungswesen) and with spend management platforms like Payhawk, Candis or Spendesk
* Attention to detail and ability to work cross functionally
