Our client is a global manufacturing business with strong brand and complex, high value products. They are looking for a senior Supply Chain professional to lead a team of c.25 (with two team leaders) during a period of high growth.
The role is based onsite 5 days per week (not negotiable) and will be the figurehead for supply chain onsite but also working as part of a global team, with peers in other countries and the hiring manager based in the UK. The team is responsible for understanding material requirements, product planning and shipments, working with c.300 suppliers, mainly in Germany.
Key elements of the role:
Development of the team
Improving process to increase efficiency, including scope for automation
Close collaboration with suppliers, including regular travel (c.25%)
Monitoring KPIs
Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Support senior management in the design & implementation of capacity planning and response strategies
They are looking for someone who:
Speaks both German and English to a good level (at least C1 and B2 respectively)
Has strong people management & development skills
Is degree educated in business or engineering
Has strong supply chain experience in a relevant company size and type (OEM or Tier 1 manufacturer, Power, Automotive, Machinery etc)
Is a confident user of MS Office and SAP R/3
Has process improvement (LEAN Six Sigma) and/or project management skills
Has energy, initiative and assertiveness, professionalism and confidence
