At Data4Life, we empower researchers and public-health partners by building secure, compliant, and high-impact digital solutions. As we expand our AI-enabled offerings—including our AIR·MS Chatbot, our integrated LLM solutions, and researcher-focused developer tooling—we seek a Customer Success Engineer with strong full-stack development skills and deep customer orientation.

You will work closely with researchers, engineering, project, and product teams to build, integrate, and evolve AI-powered applications that advance medical and public-health research.

We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer to join our Research Enablement team. This is a full time position located in Berlin/Potsdam.

Your future role

* Build further features around LLM infrastructure in the AIR·MS platform, including our Open WebUI-based chatbot

* Align closely with the cross-partner program leadership team, and focus on enabling researchers and clinicians to effectively use open-source LLMs

* Help integrate in-house fine-tuned, medical-data-aware LLMs, and help integrate agentic APIs for streamlining research and translation

* Maintain our software stack up-to-date and ensure extensions for regulatory compliance are delivered timely

What you need to succeed

* At least 2 years of experience working closely with researchers (or having worked as researcher yourself), translating researcher needs into technical solutions

* Ability to work across engineering, product, and research teams in a collaborative and comfortable manner

* Demonstrate high ownership, curiosity, and readiness to experiment with evolving AI technologies

* Maintain a high degree of accuracy and reliability when operating within the regulated health tech environment.

Why you will love working with us

* Nonprofit work with a clear purpose: Make the world a healthier place. With us, you will find a fulfilling and meaningful task in a nonprofit environment that will advance our society.

* A diverse and international team of professionals working together at 3 locations (Potsdam, Berlin and Singapore).

* Real work life balance with flexible working hours, 30 days of paid vacation, and the possibility for mobile work.

* The option to work abroad remotely up to 2 months per year from various countries, depending on your role and responsibilities.

* Support in the areas of private healthcare and sustainable mobility.

* Employee driven initiatives like the climate initiative and the DEI (diversity, equity & inclusion) initiative.

Good to know

* We especially welcome applicants from the LGBTQI+ community, people with a migration background, people of color, and individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses to the team.

* If you need support or special assistance during the application or interview process due to a disability, please feel free to let us know and we are happy to accommodate you as much as possible.

* For this position it is important that you are able to regularly be present in our Berlin or our Potsdam office

* Travel to customer and partner sites is expected occasionally

* Please enclose your complete documents (CV, motivation letter, Git portfolio, salary expectations, and earliest possible starting date) with your application.
