Essential Functions:
1. Develop and build a strategic sales plan to target the airport industry in Europe.
2. Work closely with strategic OEMs and the relevant Cognex sales team to enable our airport solutions to be deployed across Europe.
3. Properly forecast and close ABH opportunities with OEMs and Airports; Maintain and continuously update project information in the CRM;
4. Follow up on sales leads and schedule customer visits; Prospects for new OEMs and Airports who are not using Cognex’s products.
5. Build long-term relationships with OEMs and Airports that enable year over year growth.
6. Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites;
7. Assist at trade shows and other marketing events.
8. Follow up on customer inquiries, understand system requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution; Coordinate trials and proof of concepts utilizing the Applications Engineering team.
9. Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on opportunities that are either integrated or installed in a different territory, or where the decision makers don’t reside in the LSE’s territory.
10. Generate proposals individually or in collaboration with Logistics Services team.

11. Strong understanding of airport operations and baggage handling systems
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
13. Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize under pressure and strong time management skills.
14. Ability to create long-term profitable relationships
15. Ability to manage and lead transversally
16. Outstanding listening attitude for in-depth understanding of large accounts and their position in the industry
17. Technical knowledge and credibility, in order to lead large projects identified
18. Understanding of the logistics industry, industry terminology and processes
19. Experience in selling turnkey solutions
20. Ability to approach C-level managers
21. Ability to handle multitasks, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
22. Strong negotiation skills, with ability to get signed large accounts contracts
23. Willingness to Travel
24. Fluent English. Other languages can be a plus
Experience:
25. 5+ years of experience in logistics, aviation, or transportation services
26. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
