Commissioning Consultant required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in Germany.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the commissioning process for their gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and auxiliary systems.
* Ensure the successful integration of the cogeneration system, including thermal energy recovery for industrial or district heating applications.
* Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists per clients OEM standards and industry best practices.
* Conduct performance tests and validate operational efficiency, emissions compliance, and system reliability.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure proper system functionality.
* Provide technical training and documentation for plant personnel to ensure seamless operation post-commissioning.
* Diagnose and resolve startup issues, working closely with representatives and site teams.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during commissioning activities.
* Identify optimization opportunities for improving turbine efficiency, heat recovery, and plant reliability.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
* Process Engineer or I&C Engineer by trade.
* 10+ years of experience in commissioning Siemens combined cycle gas turbines.
* Strong knowledge of Siemens turbine control systems, startup sequences, and troubleshooting methodologies.
* Experience working in cogeneration power plants with thermal energy integration.
* Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, IEC, ISO) and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
