The GSAM Germany Team is responsible for business, solution & product development for new and existing client base. Clients include insurance companies, pension funds, financial institutions, distributors, foundations and endowments across Germany & Austria.
The Executive Director role, based in Frankfurt will be responsible for driving key strategic partnerships and regional coverage of clients as well as contributing to projects. This includes business development, day to day servicing and facing as a conduit between GSAM and the client(s).

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
1. Contribute to a broad platform that serves as the client’s main point of contact for a diverse set of functional areas, including portfolio management, trading, operations, legal, and compliance.
2. Provide a superior level of service across all aspects of the client experience, including portfolio reviews, management of client inquiries, ad hoc issue resolution and management of client meetings.
3. Strong awareness of client interests and investment trends coupled with the intellectual curiosity to explore and research those areas to best deliver the resources of the firm to our clients.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
4. University degree or equivalent
5. Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience within the financial industry
6. Fluency (written and oral proficiency) in German and English is required
7. Project management and organisational skills with a high degree of detail orientation
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Strong commercial acumen
10. Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
11. Motivated professional with strong work ethic
12. Strong understanding of investment funds and separately managed accounts
13. Thorough understanding of fundamental and quantitative investment strategies including global fixed income & currency, equity, and alternative investments
