About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to handle authorization requests and perform prudential supervision of investment fund managers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing authorization requests, analyzing financial reports, annual reports, management letters, control reports, and reviewing regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
Additionally, they will serve as a designated contact for all queries regarding investment fund managers, participate in preparation of meetings with representatives of investment fund managers, draft minutes when necessary, prepare and participate in on-site inspections of investment fund managers, analyze questions related to the regulatory framework of investment fund managers, and draft analytical memos for decision-making purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Authorization Requests: Processing initial or modified authorization requests from investment fund managers.
* Prudential Supervision: Performing prudential supervision of a portfolio of investment fund managers, including analysis of financial reports, annual reports, management letters, control reports, review of regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
* Contact Point: Serving as a designated contact for all queries regarding investment fund managers.
* Meetings and Inspections: Participating in preparation of meetings with representatives of investment fund managers, drafting minutes when necessary, preparing and participating in on-site inspections of investment fund managers.
* Regulatory Analysis: Analyzing questions related to the regulatory framework of investment fund managers and drafting analytical memos for decision-making purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Education: Four- or five-year university degree in economics, finance, management, or law.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of UCIs and/or IFMs, with a focus on key functions like control, portfolio management, or valuation considered an advantage.
* Languages: Full proficiency in written and spoken English, with adequate language skills in French and German ideal, and Luxembourgish as an asset.
* Skill Set: Ability to work autonomously, in a team, and possess analytical, communication, and writing skills to present complex matters succinctly. Proactive behavior, rigorous work ethic, flexibility, stress resistance, and sense of initiative are essential.
