We are now looking for a Data Engineer in Germany to join our fairly new team in a start‑up style atmosphere with Nordic based work culture. We have offices in Munich and Berlin, and have a hybrid work type, made according to your own needs. Data is one of Solita’s four areas of expertise. We have more than 200 data specialists, and our knowledge portfolio contains a variety of data-related specialisations involving data solutions in almost all technologies, both in the cloud and otherwise. As a Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist, you will have these Key Responsibilities: Design and implement multi‑hop pipeline architectures using Databricks Lakehouse. Optimize Apache Spark workloads for performance and scalability. Build robust ETL pipelines and data models using SQL and/or Python and Scala. Lead client workshops to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring best practices and successful delivery. Share expertise with internal teams and clients, fostering adoption of Databricks best practices. Develop reusable frameworks and documentation for future projects. What do we wish for you to have? 4+ years in data engineering and 5+ years in consulting roles. Deep hands‑on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks. Familiarity with multi‑hop pipeline architecture in Databricks. Experience with big data engines like Spark, Hadoop, Flink and Presto. Proficiency in SQL. Also in Python and Scala as a plus. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services. Excellent communication, presentation, and whiteboarding skills.
