What are your contributions to the team?
* Lead and perform a diversified range of engineering tasks such as leading material qualifications, supporting cost reduction initiatives, solving part non-conformity issues, production line problems and managing supplier material changes as part of the Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineering team for Global Completions
* Lead development of test plans, work with internal and external laboratories, analyze results and review/approve test reports
* Support writing, review & approval of Materials & Processes Specifications for Completions and associated Qualified Product Library
* Review and approve engineering drawings and change documentation
* Support innovation projects and re-design activities, investigate new environmental regulations impacting Completions
* Handle complex issues, make challenging technical decisions and provide regular status updates to upper management
* Lead and participate in process optimization, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
* Provide technical expertise in the domains of metallics, surface treatments, polymers, coatings, protective finishes, upholstery, leather, woodworking and interior flammability
How to thrive in this role?
* You have a bachelor degree in Materials, Mechanical or Chemical engineering from an accredited university
* You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as M&P in an aerospace/military production environment.
* You have significant knowledge on aircraft interior materials and processes such as surface treatments, coatings, protective finishes, leather, upholstery, woodworking etc.
* You are knowledgeable about typical military and/or aerospace industry standards such as CMH-17, MIL specs, Federal regulations, ASTM, ISO and SAE specifications
* You have strong knowledge about flammability requirements according to FAR 25 regulations
* You are proficient in engineering design principles and reviewing drawings
* You have excellent organizational and project planning skills
* You are adept at solving engineering problems in a high-pressure environment and can deal with complex issues quickly and independently
* You have excellent communication skills in English and French (written and oral)
* You must be able to work in a team environment and interact constantly with Senior Management, Professionals and Technicians from other value stream functions (Methods, Quality, Logistics etc.)
* You are proficient with CATIA V5 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
