In Kempen we are looking for a Technical Service Engineer.
Providing application, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and other technical support via telephone, email, knowledgebase systems and other suitable communication tools.
Consulting with customers and field service dispatchers/ supervisors to define the scope of work for projects.
Analyzing malfunctions, configuring systems, adjusting dynamics and making minor software modifications by using ConverterTec hardware and software.
Consulting with engineering to resolve problems in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Working with customers and field service supervisors to define timeline and travel logistics and to provide accurate project cost quotes.
Performing and overseeing the installation, replacement and periodic corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment and control software, while providing direction to lower level Field Service Engineers.
Repairing, replacing or modifying equipment/spare parts/return parts utilizing the knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems, along with using standard test instruments and hand tools.
Preparing concise service/warranty reports and other relevant job-related paperwork for customers and internal distribution in a timely manner. May review and approve reports from lower level field service engineers.
Performing more complex software/ hardware TSP creation, test setups/ troubleshooting, engine calibration, emissions testing, testing of customer/internal hardware/software for review.
Development of product manuals, and knowledgebase content by contributing troubleshooting insights and application guidance.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or an Associate Degree in a technical field with additional relevant experience required.
~Able to meet customer needs in difficult and demanding situations while leading and mentoring other Field Service Engineers, Technical Support Engineers and/or customer engineers.
~ Excellent English and German language levels.
~ Travel required, both domestic and international
