Head of technical sales (m/f/d)

For our client, an internationally operating and rapidly growing company with a first-class market position in special-purpose machinery manufacturing, we are seeking an ambitious Sales Manager (m/f/d). The business unit in the greater Mannheim area specializes in highly complex cleaning and drying systems for the pharmaceutical industry. In this development role, you will take the lead: you will not only drive the operational sales cycle but also actively develop the strategic direction to tap into new markets and significantly scale sales with globally operating corporations.

Your tasks

5. End-to-end sales: Handling the entire cycle from initial contact through the acquisition of new and existing customers (focus on pharmaceuticals) to the closing.

6. Technical concept: Development and design of complex offer concepts as well as technical consulting for customers.

7. Solution development: Identifying specific requirements and developing customized, verifiable plant solutions.

8. Market presence: Visiting customers on site (approx. 2-3 times per month) and representation at international trade fairs (approx. 5 dates/year).

9. Strategy: Market analysis, identification of new business opportunities and development of sales strategies for market penetration.

10. Setting standards: Defining technical standards and internal quality requirements.

Your profile

11. Qualification: Completed studies in process engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable technical education.

12. Experience: Several years of practical experience in technical sales and project management, ideally in the field of CIP/WIP stations or cleaning systems.

13. Technical expertise: * You are confident in process planning ( P&ID ) and in using CAD .

Terms like GMP, audit trail, plant qualification (V-model) and validatable cleaning machines are part of your daily routine.

14. Personality: Confident demeanor, strong presentation skills and a structured, solution-oriented work style.

15. Languages: Fluent German and English.

16. Mobility: Willingness to travel (approx. 20–30%, focus on Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
