This role is critical to the successful deployment of engineering and automation solutions (e.g. Matrix, ADTFs, ADTAs, ASLs, tippers, retrofits) across existing delivery stations and new greenfield launches. You will work closely with internal Amazon teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site field verification of engineering drawings and identify clashes or interferences with existing or new equipment
Raise and manage MCMs for different project phases, addressing feedback from multiple approver groups before site works begin
Support readiness reviews and ensure all prerequisites are met prior to deployment
Project Execution
Act as the primary on-site Project Manager during installation and deployment phases
Set up and manage daily coordination calls with vendors, Operations, WHS, RME, IT, and other stakeholders
Provide daily project status updates and summaries to the Germany/Regional Field Engineering Project Manager
Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, gather stakeholder feedback, and proactively resolve issues
Identify risks, delays, or deviations and escalate appropriately when required
Manage Amazon‑ordered materials (e.g. signage, racking, SBL), including receipt on site, inventory checks, and gap identification
Coordinate with Operations, RME, and third‑party labour providers for internal material movement and installation
Work closely with IT teams to obtain IDF access, monitor cabinet activity, and validate data cable installation and functionality
Support site acceptance testing, including continuous on-site presence (typically 4–5 consecutive days)
Project Closure
Collect all vendor documentation and validate completeness against contractual deliverables
Perform basic document validation (e.g. correct site name, signed Declarations of Conformity, accuracy of content)
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience managing medium-complexity engineering, construction, or automation projects
Strong on-site coordination skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and functions
Comfortable working in fast-paced, operational environments
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel
Willingness to travel extensively within Germany (up to 75–100% during deployment phases)
