The Position We are seeking an experienced Global Head of Benefits to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our worldwide employee benefits framework. This is a role with global impact, responsible for ensuring our benefits offering is competitive, fair and clear aligned with our Total Rewards and people strategy. Reporting to the Global Head of Total Rewards and International mobility, you will partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, GBS and country teams across the globe, and be an active member of our Total Rewards leadership team. This position can be filled in Ingelheim. This position is part time eligible with 80% minimum. Tasks & responsibilities In your new role as Global Head of Benefits, you define and lead our global benefits framework implementation in our 70 countries which operationalizes our commitment as a family-owned company to supporting employees throughout all life stages, enabling them to select benefits that matter to their personal needs, and reflect our purpose of transforming lives for generations and our commitment to sustainability. You will oversee and govern the full core and flex benefits portfolio, which includes resources to manage health and well-being, time to disconnect and recharge, tools for professional and personal needs, programs that align with personal values and means to support financial future. By balancing global consistency with local market competitiveness, regulatory requirements, and cultural expectations, you ensure the right Boehringer touch across countries while optimizing vendors and the systems landscape. In partnership with Finance and actuarial experts, you will provide financial oversight of benefits spent, risks, and long-term liabilities and chair the Corporate Benefits Governance Committee. You will drive global digitalization improvements with IT, and positively transform employee experience in benefits communication and administration, to make Boehringer benefits a competitive differentiator. In addition, you will coordinate and develop a global community of benefits experts in a complex, matrixed environment, seeking co-construction and practices sharing. Requirements Master's degree in HR, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field Extensive experience in global benefits management, ideally within large multinational organizations, with expertise in benefits design, financing, and governance across multiple regions High employee understanding and perceived value of benefits, you have a passion for HR Strong financial acumen with experience managing cost, risk, and long-term benefits obligations High understanding of systems, data, technologies, payroll requirements Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels Proven ability to collaborate effectively in complex, international environments, with cross-functional stakeholders, to activate actions without authority Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, execution-focused approach Fluency in English Ready to contact us?
