Role title: CSU Team Lead About the job Clinical Study Units (CSUs) are our experts with deep knowledge and know-how of clinical trialdelivery in our key strategic countries and are one of the closest links to our clinical investigatorsand patients, setting up the company studies within each relevant country, and delivering qualitydata, as much as maintaining site and patient engagement in the longerterm. The CSUs are supported by the relevant affiliate functions (medical, regulatory, externalaffairs) and the country HCP network to successfully conduct our trials. The aim of the CSU Team Leader (all genders) is to provide direct line management and leadership of the assignedfunctions to ensure successful study delivery. The CSU Team Leader ensures that appropriatestaffing is assigned and that projects are managed to appropriate quality within the scope ofresponsibility. The CSU Team Leader drives identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks in supportof business KPIs. Your main responsibilities include: Direct line management responsibility for assigned roles in Germany (e.g., COSCLs (Clinical Operations Study country Lead I, former Local Study Manager) and for ensuring the performance, training, coaching, mentoring, motivation, anddevelopment of individuals under their management Support the planning,coordination, and delivery of study commitments Take responsibility forresource management within their group in agreement with GSA defined commitments Provides oversight, operational support, and drives their team to ensurethey carry out their activities in a timely fashion and with a continuous quality approach to guaranteePAI readiness. Act as the key operational interface with internal and external services todevelop, implement, maintain, and improve processes for clinical trial conduct Partner with the appropriate functions (e.g., Quality representatives at theCluster/Country level, Cluster/Country Head) to implement processes and system improvements Support innovative solutions by participating in pilots and/or initiatives Where applicable, the CSU Team Leader may also assume operational oversight for satellite countriesunder the responsibility of the CSU organization About you Education and professional Experience University Degree in a science/medical or related field, such as Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine, Clinical Research etc. 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience 3 years of experience in some aspect of clinical trials. Alternately, demonstrated comparable or equivalent experience will be considered At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical project management Proficiency in complex clinical trial management Broad scientific knowledge within several therapeutic areas Soft skills Proven experience in the direct management of people: Inspiring and motivating team members by providing guidance, support, and empowerment to achieve their best performance. Strategic thinking and result orientation Clear and empathetic communication to convey project goals, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts among team members and stakeholders Adept at remaining calm under pressure, finding creative solutions, and overcoming unexpected challenges Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust plans and strategies in response to evolving circumstances Time management skills: Efficiently managing time, prioritizing tasks, and delegating responsibilities to meet tight timelines and deadlines associated with clinical studies.
