Our international client is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Technical Due Diligence (TDD) Manager to be based in Berlin, supporting real estate transactions across Germany and the wider DACH region, including Austria and Switzerland.
This is a senior advisory role suited to a Building Surveyor–qualified professional with strong experience delivering Technical Due Diligence for property transactions within a consultancy environment.
The Role
You will lead and deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) assignments for investors, funds, lenders, and asset managers, providing clear, commercially focused technical advice to support acquisition, disposal, and refinancing decisions.
The role is primarily Berlin-based, with project exposure across Germany and selected international markets, depending on client and transaction requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Technical Due Diligence commissions across commercial real estate assets
* Carry out building inspections and technical assessments across Germany and other European locations
* Prepare and review detailed TDD reports, identifying technical, capex, lifecycle, and compliance risks
* Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies and capital expenditure planning
* Act as a key client interface, clearly presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Support and mentor junior team members and contribute to quality assurance
* Assist with business development, proposals, and repeat client engagement
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent required)
* Proven experience delivering Technical Due Diligence within a consultancy environment
* Experience advising institutional investors, lenders, or asset managers
* Strong background across commercial property assets (offices, mixed-use, logistics, etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working on cross-border assignments within Europe
* Based in Berlin or willing to relocate to Berlin
Language Requirements
* Professional working proficiency in English and German is required
