The Role
As a Service Designer, you will collaborate closely with Experience Strategists and Service Design peers to create high-value co-creation sessions for our customers and partners. Your role involves guiding a multi-disciplined team through projects, providing insights and leadership to deliver innovative solutions, including prototypes and visual design artifacts. You will work with Kyndryl business and account leaders, technical strategists, customers, and alliance partners to define problems, envision solutions and service blueprints, and bring these solutions to fruition.

As a Service Designer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of driving creative, high-value solutions. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Leading Design Strategy: You will be the design strategist and design leader on customer engagements, guiding multi-disciplined teams through projects. You’ll provide insights, ideas, and leadership to deliver high-quality solutions, including prototypes and visual design artifacts.
2. Facilitating Co-Creation Sessions: You will work side by side with Experience Strategists and Service Design peers to deliver high-value co-creation sessions to our customers and partners. Ensuring the full team is onboarded and engaged is a key part of your responsibility.
3. Collaborating Across Teams: You will partner with Kyndryl business and account leaders, technical strategists, customers, and Kyndryl’s alliance partners to define problems, imagine solutions and service blueprints, and enable all to bring these solutions to life.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
4. 4+ years in human-centered design, emphasizing design strategy, service design with a focus on UX/UI, and co-creation
5. Solid understanding of Design Thinking, UX Research and Human-Centered Design methods
6. Confident in (co-)facilitation of design processes and customer workshops in projects and make sure the full team is onboarded
7. Entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in ambiguity and enjoy ‘first of a kind challenges.’
8. Support multi-discipline teams through a service design and blueprinting engagement, resulting in experience-based roadmaps that enable technologists to dig more deeply into solutions
9. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
10. Strong presentation skills in pre-sales environment
11. Fluent in both German and English, verbally and written.
12. Bachelor's degree in related or other field
13. Portfolio demonstrating craft, strategic thinking, leadership, customer engagement, and inventive solutions in a variety of contexts
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
14. Industry vertical experience
15. Experience in IT enterprise or IT environment
16. Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Suite, Miro or Mural, & other digital collaboration tools
