Senior Engineer job opportunity in Leipzig supporting one of the most exciting BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects in Germany — accommodation provided, rotation available, B2 German required.
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer (Civil / Setting Out) on behalf of a leading subcontractor delivering critical works on a flagship BESS project in Leipzig. This is a fantastic job opportunity for a Senior Engineer looking to take ownership of site engineering and setting out on a landmark energy storage scheme with a client we know and rate highly.
🔹 The Role
Site-based role in Leipzig leading setting out, civil engineering coordination, and quality control on the BESS works package. Youll work alongside the project team on site, ensuring works are delivered to programme, spec, and German construction standards.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
▸ Lead setting out using total station / GPS across civil works packages
▸ Coordinate site civil activities, RC works, foundations and groundworks
▸ Liaise with the main contractor, design team and site supervisors in German and English
▸ Manage QA/QC, ITPs, drawings and dimensional control on site
▸ Support programme delivery and report progress to project management
🔹 What Youll Bring
▸ Proven site engineering / setting out experience on civil or energy projects
▸ B2 German (minimum) — confident communicating on a German construction site
▸ Solid understanding of German construction practice and standards
▸ Total station / GPS proficiency and strong technical drawing literacy
▸ Open to a site-based rotation in Leipzig
