Introduction Sentence
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Test Engineer to join our iOS and tvOS QA team during a team member’s maternity leave. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong communication skills to match a high-performing, mature development team. You’ll support manual testing, regression cycles, and crowd testing efforts that contribute directly to the stability and quality of our online video platform.
In this position, you work within our hybrid model “Highly Remote”. Find out more about this model here. The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.
This position is limited to 12 months due to a parental leave replacement.
What you can expect in this role
1. You support our experienced iOS and tvOS team by designing and executing manual tests across multiple devices and platforms
2. You contribute actively to agile ceremonies, bringing quality-focused insights early in the development process
3. Also, you plan and run regression tests, keeping test documentation up-to-date and relevant
4. You manage and evaluate crowd testing sessions, distill feedback, and share actionable insights with the team
5. Besides that, you collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to clarify requirements and align on quality goals
6. You champion a quality-first mindset, helping to ensure feature readiness before release and identifying risks before they impact users
Your essential experience and education
7. You have solid hands-on experience in manual testing on iOS (tvOS experience is a plus)
8. Therefore, you bring a deep understanding of QA’s role in agile teams and comfort navigating mature team dynamics
9. You have experience in coordinating and evaluating crowd testing campaigns
10. Also, you are familiar with regression testing best practices and test management tools
11. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to align with a high-functioning, remote-first team
12. You have a proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on delivering high-quality user experiences
