Hardware Engineer – Automotive Test & Validation

We are hiring an experienced Hardware Engineer for an automotive R&D project in Ingolstadt. This role focuses on test bench ownership, electrical and thermal validation, and high-voltage testing of automotive electronic systems in a lab environment.
Responsibilities
* Build, maintain, and operate automotive hardware test benches
* Perform comprehensive electrical measurements (voltage, current, resistance, impedance, capacitance, short-circuit detection)
* Execute ESD/EMC, thermal, and high-voltage testing
* Conduct signal and network analysis (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
* Work with Vector measurement equipment and automotive diagnostic tools (ODIS, iDEX, CP-Tool, System-42, network testers)
* Analyse test results and document findings using Jira / DevStack
* Review BOMs, schematics, and layouts
Requirements
* Professional German language skills.
* 6–10 years of experience in automotive hardware testing or validation
* Strong experience in test bench construction and maintenance
* Hands-on experience with electrical and signal measurement equipment
* Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet-based systems
* Experience working with automotive diagnostic and validation tools
* Ability to work on-site in Ingolstadt
Mandatory Certification
* High-Voltage sensitization / High-Voltage qualification (HV)
