Within this environment, the organization is seeking a Director Market Access – Innovative Products to play a pivotal role in the successful launch of its innovative pipeline in Germany. This is a strategically critical leadership position requiring deep expertise in market access, pricing and reimbursement, and health technology assessment (HTA), with a particular focus on navigating the AMNOG process and the benefit assessment framework of the German Federal Joint Committee (G-BA).
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the Director will:
* Lead cross-functional launch teams for innovative products, working closely with Medical Affairs, Government & Public Affairs, Operations, and Commercial teams;
* Represent the German affiliate in regional and global Market Access forums and strategic discussions;
* Develop and execute comprehensive Market Access strategies tailored to the German healthcare system, ensuring full launch readiness through high-quality AMNOG dossier development aligned with global and local brand strategies;
* Design and implement robust reimbursement and market access plans to optimize product uptake and patient access;
* Adapt global value narratives to the German context, strengthening product differentiation and minimizing price erosion;
* Lead evidence generation strategies, ensuring payer and HTA requirements are integrated early across the product lifecycle;
* Develop strong payer value propositions and innovative reimbursement approaches adapted to diverse stakeholder needs;
* Engage with key healthcare payers to co-create value-based solutions and access frameworks;
* Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders, including country leadership, and contribute to national and international Market Access strategy discussions;
* Support brand planning and portfolio strategy through market access insights and reimbursement intelligence.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will bring:
* University Degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Health Economics or relevant;
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Market Access, pricing & reimbursement, HTA, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry, payer organizations, consultancies, or healthcare institutions;
* Strong hands-on expertise with AMNOG and German reimbursement/benefit assessment processes;
* Proven success in securing reimbursement for innovative pharmaceutical products;
* Solid understanding of evidence-based medicine, health economics, and public health principles;
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior internal and external decision-makers;
* Excellent communication skills in both German and English;
* A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in complex and highly regulated environments.
