Fraunhofer is Europe's largest organisation for applied research. Our research fields are geared towards people's needs: health, safety, communication, mobility, energy and the environment. We are creative, we shape technology, we design products, we improve processes, we open up new avenues.
Fraunhofer ITWM is one of currently 75 institutes belonging to the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and can therefore draw on the expertise of a strong network. At Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM, we see our task as further developing key technologies, providing innovative impetus and implementing these in practice together with industry partners. In doing so, we not only want to build bridges between the real and virtual worlds, but also serve as a link between academic mathematics and its practical application.
