Our client, one of the largest tier 1 automotive suppliers in the world is currently looking for a Program Purchasing Manager to oversee product sourcing and to support global operations to ensure successful launches by meeting cost and timing targets. Responsibilities Lead the global program sourcing team as directed by senior management. Responsible to launch and track timing for successful implementation of project and any other KPI’s set forth by senior management. Oversees all purchasing activities from Program Purchasing perspective. Oversees and coordinate the Program buyers. Contribute to the technical product concept/specification offered to the customer. Run Strategic Sourcing Review in conjunction with the commodity team to define potential supplier selection panel required to support the programme, taking into account supplier technology, geographical location, target costs. Responsible for promoting and seeking excellence in all aspects of business. Participates in continuous improvement efforts for products, tools, processes and programs. Responsible for the adherence of all processes, tools and methods of the program management team to all applicable standards, laws, rules and regulations. Qualifications Relevant experience within the automotive electronics industry preferred. Strategic thinker and implementer of effective tactical plans. Excellent skills and experience in contract negotiation and price negotiation in a manufacturing environment. Communication and negotiation skills Strong leadership qualities. Very good knowledge of German and English Willingness to travel internationally
